what is that starburst of a purple flower youve got going there? it is a nice pic
It’s a Cat’s Claw Flower. It’s only 5/8″ in diameter and was growing on a 3 foot long vine. You can click on any of the photos to see the full size on Flickr.
Love your site. Your photography is great.
Neat! I just got a Canon Digital Rebel for X mas, after using film for many years. (I started with a Pentax k1000 and a dark room full of chemicals!
That is so cool that you take pictures too!
Oooo.. a Rebel! I can’t afford one of those. I need to get some lenses for my PowerShot. It has really good manual settings, so I don’t have a problem with most shots. But, there are times when a lens and/or filter would help out. With the super macro mode, the built-in lens has to almost touch the subject. That works with flowers and such, but insects can see that coming and take off. Also, the camera causes shadows, so I can’t always get a macro shot that I’d like if the sun isn’t positioned just right. I’d also like a telescopic lens to get far away shots.
